Church Update

Sanctuary Before

Sanctuary Right Now

I have been promising pictures of the Church Sanctuary remodel & finally I have some. This Sanctuary has come so far from being a theatre to a House of Worship. We still have some detailed things to complete, but that will come in time. Our main concern right now is getting the sound boards back up on the walls & finishing the sound system.

We are so excited right now with how far the church has come. It hasn't just been all about us having our own Sanctuary for the first time, but also the adding of the church! Last Sunday we had a baptism & 7 visitors in just one service. We have almost consistently had at least 1 visitor every service. Thank you Jesus!

I wasn't able to post anything for Thanksgiving so I am a little late on wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!:) Hope it was a good day. We were in Texarkana w/ Tim's family enjoying the holiday. I was especially enjoying the holiday getting to shop at Hobby Lobby & Kirkland's for my house. California has got to get those 2 stores! If you have shopped at Hobby Lobby or Kirkland's, can I get an Amen!:)

The House

I have some new pictures of the changes we have made w/ our house. Mostly we have gotten the main part of the house painted & moved in the furniture downstairs. God blessed us w/ some furniture that my Aunt & Uncle gave us. I have yet to get things to hang on our walls, but that will come in time. Coming straight into a house from a 5th wheel where there was never any need to have furniture or large decorations we are truly starting our first home w/ nothing as if we are newlyweds!:) You can only do so much to a 5th wheel compared to having a living room, kitchen, dinning room, bedroom & so on!:)
This has become an amazing chapter in my life since being in Vacaville. By next week I should have some more updated pictures on the church. By this weekend it will be carpeted & we will be bringing in the chairs & actually setting up the sound equipment to start having services in OUR Sanctuary!:) No more setting up & taking down or sharing a sanctuary. It will be our very own, thank you Jesus!
This week my husband & I will be in Walla Walla, Washington w/ the Hall's & in Lewiston, Idaho for a Youth Conference & to be w/ the Holt's. We are truly looking forward to this trip & the exciting things that God is going to do in these services!

~Remembering Grandma~

~This month has been 5 years since my Grandma, Alyce Lorraine Price, passed away. I woke up this morning feeling so very heavy in my heart thinking of all that has been happening as of recently in my life & yet I cannot share this joy w/ her. These are things in my life I know she would be so proud of.
Grandma had such a way of seeing the potential you held w/in & knowing how to draw it out. She called me Andi & though I am not very fond of that nickname, when it came from her it was so endearing.
I know she is in such a better place but just for today I would love to be selfish & have her w/ me, to have that special little nudge that only she could give to say you can do anything! Grandma was loved by many & she loved them back w/ her whole heart.
I loved for her to tell stories! A very special memory is every year she was the one who would read the Story of Jesus' Birth at Christmas & was followed by Grandpa sharing words of Wisdom.
Grandma made the best Fried Chicken & Fried Okra...she was just an awesome cook! You couldn't sit at her table unless you at least tried a bite of everything on the table. Tim learned that real quick when he refused to try a stuffed bell pepper & she literally followed him from the kitchen, down the hall & into his room w/ a piece of stuff bell pepper on a fork until he gave in & took a bite!:) That's all she would ask for, just a bite & it was that "bite" that would usually get you hooked!:)
There are so many special memories I could share. We all have days like this of remembering loved ones, but it gives you a feeling of comfort when just sharing these memories when your hurting. I love you dearly Grandma~

Update

Wow, it has been forever since I have blogged! Thank you all so much for the sweet & encouraging comments that were left on the news of us finally getting into our home. It has been an amazing process.
I have only a few pictures of the house to post since there is alot to be done & we have been so busy w/ the remodel on the church. There are some before and after pictures of the upstairs guest bathroom & one side of the kitchen/family room. It's hard to describe but the house inside needs a new paint job in EVERY room:) The house itself is in great condition, only problem is the paint. Our living room & dining room is painted a color I call "mud". Not only are the walls but the ceilings, we have a high cathedral ceilings in these rooms & they are painted w/ the "mud". It kind of feels like a cave...LoL.
So far I have painted half of the kitchen/family room, that use to be a "mustard" color, & again it was the ceiling & walls. So, I have a new white ceiling & 2 walls painted & have 3 more to go before that is completed.
~Kitchen/Family Room Before~

~Kitchen/Family Room After~

Actually, I have completed only one room & that is the upstairs guest bathroom...LoL:) We have yet to really move in our furniture since everything needs to be painted, but this Wednesday & Thursday the whole downstairs will be completed & we can really start the process of moving in the furniture. So there is an update on the house situation.
~Upstairs Guest Bathroom Before~

~Upstairs Guest Bathroom After~

As for the church, I will soon have pictures posted of the remodel that is going on. The last pictures I posted you could see all the sound boards & the ugly walls, but now we have textured walls & paint on them. This last Thursday we had an estimate done for the carpet & that will only take 7 days for the ordering & the laying of the carpet so it will finally look more completed. The chairs we have ordered will be arriving in 2 more weeks & we will be ready to have church in our new sanctuary! God has continued to pour out His Spirit on our services in such a beautiful way. One of the boys in Sunday School received the Holy Ghost last Sunday & we have had a steady stream of visitors. We give God all the Glory...Vacaville is in Revival!:)

WE GOT OUR HOUSE....FINALLY!!!!!!

I am so excited right now, as of yesterday evening we are officially home owners! This house has been a long time coming. It was listed in January of this year but not until April 28Th did we place our offer...now after almost 6 months (thanks to it being a "short sale"), it's ours!:) God has blessed us tremendously & we are so thankful. Owning a house like this was so far away in my dreams & yet it's happening now. There are such great benefits in life when you are in the will of God! I want to say a big thank you to all who have kept us in your prayers during this time, Thank You!!!

SIS Conference (Safety In Sisterhood)

~I was privileged for the first time this year to attend SIS Conference. Summer, my sister Erica & I got to go together & what a blast! It was held at Stephanie Parkey's church in Tulare & they did such a tremendous job hosting. The decorations were fabulous along w/ the food! What an incredible meeting to be so refreshed & have such a good time all in one! I personally had never heard Cindy Miller speak & WOW, was it all so good!
The theme was "Chocolate & Friendship" & I thought I'd never want to eat chocolate again, but my sweet husband had a little note beside my bed when I got home saying "I missed you, look under your pillow". Under my pillow was my very own personal box of Pecan Buds from See's candy, my favorite! I found out very quickly that I could eat chocolate again!:)
Look forward to next years SIS Conference already. I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to the ladies who put this meeting together, what a blessing!

Church Work Night

For the past 3 saturdays we have had work nights up at the church. We are so excited that we are getting our very own sanctuary. As you can see in the pictures there is quite a bit of work to do, but we are up for the task!:) This room was a theatre so we have one of the Marx Brothers who was smoking a cigar & Laurel & Hardy Soundboards glued & screwed into the wall.lol Getting them down has been quite a chore!:) We are completely retexturing the walls to then repaint. By next friday we will be ready to paint...yeah! Just a little update on what is happening in Vacaville, God has been so good!

For the Girls

For the Girls

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my shape to keep.
Please no wrinkles, Please no bags
And please lift my rump before it sags.
Please no age spots, Please no gray
And as for my belly, Please take it away.
Please keep me healthy, Please keep me young,
And thank you Dear Lord, For all that you've done

Vacaville is having revival! We are so excited, this past sunday service we baptized the sweetest young couple! A couple of weeks before Camp Meeting it was Jonathan & Joshua from our sunday school who got baptized as well. The waters are being stirred in Vacaville & we are believing this is only the beginning! Thank you Jesus!

Camp Meeting 2008

What a awesome camp meeting we had this year! I was so happy we were able to attend the last 3 nights. Although we did not stay on the grounds this year, which felt so weird, we did enjoy our stay very much.
I have only a few pictures to post but that's OK, since I'm pretty sure Camp Meeting was fully documented by all the other "bloggers" lol. It seemed everyone had cameras & were taking pictures saying "smile, this is going on my blog":) Blogging has become so much fun & such a great way to stay in touch.
Camp Meeting was so refreshing to me. I truly enjoyed not only the night services but the day services w/ Bro. Davis which impacted my life deeply. Ever since I was a little girl riding my bike or roller blading around the grounds, the Western District Camp Meeting has always been my favorite "conference" to attend.I look forward to next year already!

~Chicago~

~This past week I have been in Illinois. My sister & her family are moving back to Napa, Ca...Hallelujah! While back there for a few days to help her pack, they took Brandon & I to Chicago for a day. I love Chicago! It is such a clean beautiful city. After just being in San Francisco you can see such a drastic difference. We had a wonderful time! Of course it would have been so much better if my husband had been there!:) Tim is in Texas right now. We went & did as much as you can in one day in Chicago & ended the day w/ a boat ride that was the cherry on top. It made me think of a place that use to be known as Marine World USA in Vallejo that had a ski show, because your on a speed boat that is doing 360s out on the lake w/ the music just blasting & the wind is so strong against you. Of course you get a little wet, but its worth it! Anyways, Chicago was alot of fun but the most exciting part is that Erica, Scott & the kids will be back in California!~

~Waiting~

~It seems I have been patiently waiting for months to get our house. The house we have placed an offer on is a short sale, which I believe I've stated before that there is nothing "short" about a short sale. Getting this house means so much to me since I've never lived/owned/rented a house these 5 yrs of being married. We had a home, a home on wheels:) We truly loved our 5Th wheel, it was home on the road! Now that it has sold & we are in Vacaville we are "patiently" waiting for the final approval of the sellers bank to finalize the approval. I know many of you have already gone through this process & it's just life, but to me it is so exciting. I can't wait to paint my walls!:) I thank God for his many wonderful blessings! Without God how could there be any joy in life~

~Celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary~

~On July 5th Tim & I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary. I really can't believe how quickly it has come upon us. We celebrated by going to San Francisco for a few days. We stayed at the Sir Frances Drake which was very nice. Our room was on the 20th floor & had 3 large windows overlooking the city, beautiful! We had dinner one night at Ruth's Chris Steak house, Tim's favorite place:) Did Pier 39, toured Alcatraz, dinner at The Cheesecake Factory on the 8th floor of Macys & shopped all around Union Square. It was a wonderful time! I thank God for bringing Tim into my life. By letting me be apart of his ministry has been awarding w/ joy & many adventures, especially while evangelizing:) I feel I can truly say there is never a dull moment being married to Tim & that's a good thing~

Adding to the Church Daily

~Today was a day of celebration, we baptized Patricia in Jesus Name! Not only are we thankful for this miracle but last Sunday we baptized Edith, after she had received the Holy Ghost in service. The Lord is adding to the church & we are so thankful! God has been proving himself faithful to the church's prayers. We do not have a baptismal tank as of yet, so we are using a swimming pool:) If we know in enough time there is going to be a baptism then the pool will be heated...if not, well it's cold:) I guess using a swimming pool is the modern version of back in the day going down to the river to be baptized. I just had to share some of the excitement of what God is doing in Vacaville!

Welcome Home Brandon

~Our soldier is finally home! We are so proud of you. You have accomplished alot in your 4 short years in the U.S.Army. You became a part of the elite & prestigious Brotherhood of Paratroopers(hoorah!). You furthered yourself in the military by joining Special Forces Psyop(Physcological Operations). You served your country with honor & gave your family such pride in having served 2 successful tours in Iraq. Thank you for putting your life on the line, fighting for our freedom. We love & appreciate you, thank you for this great sacrifice. Welcome home!

~Youth Rally~

~This past saturday was a faith builder for the church here in Vacaville, we hosted our first Youth Rally!:) We had about 70 in attendance to come together in worship & to hear the Word of the Lord preached. The building we are renting is one of Vacaville's Old Movie Theaters. It holds 4 large movie rooms that have been converted into Sanctuaries. As of right now there is a Nazarene Church, Full Black Gospel Church, Charistmatic Church & our church The Pentecostals of Vacaville all having church in this building. God opened the door to such a great opportunity here in Vacaville. Here are some of the pictures from the Youth Rally. Enjoy!:)

~Friends~

~We were in Sanger this past Saturday to celebrate w/ friends Dean Domingues 50th Suprise Birthday Party. The church did a wonderful job, the food was delicious & the setting was perfect. I believe he was really suprised! It was a great day for Tim & I to get to visit w/ friends we don't get to see on a day to day basis. When evangelizing it opens the door to many opportunities to meet people whom you may never have had the opportunity to meet. I find this such a blessing! In this case it opened the door for us in Sanger w/ the Domingues family. It was so good seeing everyone again! Can't wait for campmeeting!:)

Price Family Reunion 2008

Every year the Price Family get together for a Family Reunion. It started w/ Grandpa Price & his Sister & Brothers getting together after Great Grandma & Grandpa Price had passed away. They each take a year to host the reunion. This year it was Uncle David's year to host the reunion & it was held at his house in the backyard in Fresno. It was a great time of everyone catching up & sharing the good times. Last year Grandpa hosted the Family Reunion in Napa up valley at a park. Here are some pictures of the reunion to enjoy.

~Happy 50th Birthday Mom~

~Last Saturday we celebrated my Mom's Birthday w/ a Family Birthday Dinner. This family birthday dinner is a tradition my Grandma Price started. It is a very strong tradition that until you have celebrated w/ a family birthday dinner it just hasn't felt like your birthday yet. The whole family comes together & the birthday person gets to choose what they want cooked & what dessert made or bought. My personal request was to always have Grandma's Southern Fried Chicken w/ Fried Oakra & anything else that sounded good at the time :) Of course we always had to have extra Icing Roses on the birthday cake so that my sister or cousin & I wouldn't fight over who got a rose or not :) This year there was no fight over the Roses since Brandon is in the Military in Forth Bragg at this time & Erica is in Elburn,IL :( Hopefully by next month we will all be together again to celebrate yet another family birthday dinner. I love you mom, Happy Birthday!

Memorial Day Weekend

~Yesterday we celebrated Memorial Day w/ the Vacaville Church enjoying a delicious B.B.Q. of Hamburgers & HotDogs. Everyone brought something & we had more than enough food. We even made Homemade Ice Cream served w/ Apple Pie :) The sunday before we were blessed w/ 2 people who were Baptized. We are very excited to be apart of the work here in Vacaville. God has been pouring out His blessings upon the church. Keep us in your prayers. Thank you~

~Vacaville Ladies Tea~

This past Saturday was our Ladies Tea in Vacaville. We had a great turn out & the food was delicious. It was just a "little" hot :) but it turned out beautifully! We had refreshing Blackberry Ice Tea & Vanilla Lemonade but no hot tea was served...it was just to hot :) We had Sis. Tanya, Sis. Gaylyne, Sis Cheryl & myself all share a personal testimony on "How God Has Been Our Personal Provider". It was so encouraging hearing these Testimonies. We were blessed with 19 Ladies who attended the Tea & we are looking forward to this next years Ladies Tea. Enjoy the pictures~
